In meiner künstlerischen Arbeit liegt der Ausgangspunkt einer inhaltlichen Auseinandersetzung in der Farbe auf Leinwand oder Papier. Hier entwickeln sich Ideen, Farben und Formen, Rhythmik und Bewegung. Parallel dazu arbeite ich mit Materialien, die mich taktil und inhaltlich berühren,z.B. transparentes Papier, aber auch Steine oder industriell erzeugtes Naturmaterial wie Maischips. Dabei spielen Zeit, Herstellungsprozesse, wiederholte Handlungen und Raum eine Rolle. Aus diesem Wechselspiel zwischen Malerei und Installation sind jüngst Fotografien entstanden, die u.a. die Funktion von zeitgenössischer Malerei untersuchen: Kunst und Künstler*innen im Spannungsfeld von Sozialen Medien und Bilderfluten mit*

In my artistic work, the starting point for an examination of the content lies in the color on canvas or paper. This is where ideas, colors and shapes, rhythm and movement develop. At the same time, I work with materials that touch me tactilely and in terms of content, e.g. transparent paper, but also stones or industrially produced natural materials such as corn chips. Time, manufacturing processes, repeated actions and space all play a role.
This interplay between painting and installation has recently resulted in photographs that examine, among other things, the function of contemporary painting: art and artists in the field of tension between social media and floods of images with rating systems on Instagram.
